Clinton College announced today that Felicia Hall Allen, CEO of Felicia Hall Allen & Associates, will be the 2022 Commencement Speaker on May 7th in JW Martin Gymnasium.
Felicia Hall Allen, CEO of Felicia Hall Allen & Associates, brings unique depth to specialties of leadership, team building, organizational development, executive coaching, and sports management. She is also the co-founder of A STEP UP, Inc. Professional Development Symposiums.
A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, this former student-athlete earned a basketball scholarship to The University of Iowa where she played for Hall of Fame Coach, C. Vivian Stringer winning multiple Big Ten Championships. Felicia was conferred two degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Iowa, College of Law. She also completed an Executive Education Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Felicia is a former Manager for NIKE'S Women's Basketball Sports Marketing department and a Team Executive for the WNBA Charlotte Sting where in her second season, the Sting won the WNBA Eastern Conference Championship and competed for the WNBA Championship. For several years she served as the Executive Director of Leadership America North Carolina - a statewide women's leadership organization.
In addition to serving as an Organizational Development Consultant and Change Agent for several businesses, Felicia facilitates leadership development and team-building trainings nationally. She regularly presents at national conferences, association meetings, and on college campuses around the country. Highly sought after, Felicia also works on various projects with the Federal Court System, Fortune 500 companies, NFL, NCAA, NBA, and the United States Olympic Committee.
Recognized as a national and local community leader, Felicia has received several recognitions including being awarded The Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Award presented by UNCF. Mrs. Allen was also recognized as a 2022 recipient of the Career Mastered Women’s Month ‘Leadership In Action’ Award, Rising Coaches Impact Award (2022), and acknowledged as one of C.O.R.E. Magazine’s (2021) 100 Most Influential Black’s Today. During the NCAA Final Four hosted in Nashville, Tennessee, the Advocates for Athletic Equity awarded her with its first ‘Woman of Impact Award.’ She was also honored as one of Charlotte’s ‘Women of Inspiration’ by the Girl Talk Foundation at their annual Pass the Purse Empowerment Tea. A Child’s Place acknowledged her as one of the "First Ladies of Charlotte" and the Charlotte Post recognized Felicia as one its People of Prominence.
Felicia is a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Health Authority Board of Commissioners and is also serving her first term as a director on the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Board. An advocate for equity in sports, Mrs. Allen is the Vice-Chair of Programs, Marketing, and Outreach for the Advancement of Blacks In Sports (ABIS). In 2021 she was elected to the South Carolina Arts Foundation Board. For several years, she served on the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Board of Directors. Felicia is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina with her husband, Johnny Allen, President of The Allen Leadership Group.
