Clinton College hires Jocelyn Biggs as new Associate VP of Enrollment

Clinton College, the only historically Black college in Rock Hill, SC, is pleased to announce Jocelyn Biggs as its new Associate Vice President of Enrollment to lead the institution in enrollment management services.

Biggs comes to Clinton College with more than 20 years of admissions and enrollment experience at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), more recently serving as Director of Admissions at Virginia Union University. Previously, Biggs held various positions in admissions departments at several other HBCUs in the Carolinas, including Johnson C. Smith University, Bennett College and Livingstone College.

The new associate vice president is excited to lead the enrollment division and help the college achieve its goals.

“Clinton College changes lives and gives students the support needed academically and personally to change the world and our communities and it's very exciting that I will be a vital part,” said Biggs.

In addition to a veteran career in higher-education, Biggs graduated with her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Bennett College in 1994 and recently received her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration/Enrollment Management from Bay Path University in 2020. She also has a Professional Certificate in Enrollment Management from Ruffalo-Noel Levitz.

“Ms. Biggs comes to us with an impressive career as a higher education professional in general, and a wealth of experience as an alumna and an employee, in particular, of the HBCU community,” said Clinton College President Dr. Lester A. McCorn. “We are confident that she will significantly impact our mission of reaching, recruiting, and retaining outstanding students who will matriculate and graduate as Golden Bears.”

Biggs is an active member of several organizations, including Bennett College National Alumnae Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has also volunteered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and with the UNCF Charlotte, NC Office.
