Severe Storm Update

Rock Hill, 4/20/24- Clinton College, a pillar of academic excellence in our community, faced an unexpected challenge this past Saturday during dinner time when a microburst swept through the area, causing significant damage to campus facilities and rendering all campus vehicles inoperable. While the safety of our students remains our utmost priority, the administration swiftly mobilized to ensure their welfare and continuity of education.

Fortunately, all students and staff are safe, thanks to the prompt response and coordination of our campus emergency protocols. However, in light of the extensive damage to campus infrastructure, including our transportation fleet, Clinton College has made the decision to transition to virtual learning for the remainder of the semester. This proactive measure ensures that the disruption to our students' academic pursuits is minimized while guaranteeing their safety and well-being.

Moreover, all final examinations will be conducted online, providing students with a convenient and accessible means to complete their coursework and assessments. Additionally, the commencement ceremony, a momentous occasion in the lives of our graduates, is still scheduled to take place at the Transformation Center in Rock Hill. We remain committed to honoring the achievements of our graduating class while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

In the wake of this unforeseen event, Clinton College extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for its unwavering support and solidarity. We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of assistance and generosity during this challenging time. Together, we will overcome this adversity and emerge stronger than ever before.
