UPDATE 3/19: Clinton College Online Learning Extended

To remain in compliance with the recommendations and guidelines set by the CDC and the state of South Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic, Clinton College has decided to extend the period of online teaching and learning for the remainder of the Spring semester.

COMMENCEMENT

The decision to complete the Spring 2020 Academic term online means several traditionally on-campus events will be postponed. The baccalaureate and commencement exercises scheduled for May 1stand May 2nd have been rescheduled for December; details on specific dates and times will be forthcoming. Students expecting to graduate in May will have the option of having their diplomas mailed to them or participate in December.

SERVICES

As students complete their spring studies, more details will be forthcoming on how they will be able to access Student Support Services for tutoring, advising and mental health counseling.

RESIDENCE LIFE CHECKOUT

The checkout process includes removing all personal belongings from your assigned room, returning all room keys to a residence life staff member and completing all departure documents.

Checkout Dates for Cauthen Hall and Marshall Hall

Students must choose one of the following dates, which is in alignment with your last name, to return to campus, remove all personal belongings, and complete the Residence Life checkout process.

The health, safety and well-being of our students, parents, faculty and staff remain the top priority of Residence Life. Therefore, in an effort to ensure the safety of everyone on campus, the Department of Residence Life’s checkout policy and procedures for Spring 2020 will be in alignment with that of the national government health agency.

COVAID 19 Safety Precautions:

  • A limited number of people will be allowed in the residence hall at one time
  • Gloves and hand sanitizer will be available during the checkout process
  • Social distancing will be observed
  • Residence Halls are sanitized daily during the checkout process

Checkout Procedures:

  1. Only arrive at the appropriate date and time for your check-out as indicated above
  2. Return all room keys to Residence Life staff member (Refer to Residence Life contract for failure to return key)
  3. Return Surface Pro to IT staff which will be on-site at the Residence Life Checkout (See details of Surface pro contract)
  4. Remove personal belongings from your room (Clinton College is NOT responsible for any remaining personal items)

Again, to ensure the safety of all students, parents, faculty and staff of Clinton College and operate efficiently, all of the stated guidelines and procedures will be strictly enforced.

Note: The college is reviewing the procedure to handle any possible prorated housing refunds and will notify students.
