The B.E.A.R. Summer Bridge Program

Mission: To provide students with support services, the necessary academic skills, and knowledge necessary to conquer the challenges faced when entering college.
Goals and Objectives:
- To develop a learning community model that will increase student success, enhance engagement and validate students as empowered learners.
- To use a culturally sensitive learning community model that organizes students into cohort groups linking English, Math, and Freshman Seminar.
- To develop a strong relationship between student services and instruction.
- To provide a proactive advising approach that includes academic progress monitoring and educational plans.
What is the B.E.A.R. Summer Bridge Program?

The B.E.A.R Summer Bridge program is a retention program designed for newly admitted students that helps to prepare students to achieve academic process, enrich their college experience and explore their cultural heritage.
