Clinton College Students Explore Community Health at Data Walk

Clinton College students from Mrs. Barksdale’s Junior Seminar class, along with WACH Institute Program Coordinator Takeria Barber, participated in the York County Data Walk hosted by Impact York County. The event, facilitated by the S.C. Department of Public Health, gave students the opportunity to engage with real community health data and explore the 2026–2030 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

Special thanks to Stevie Micheli, MPH, Community Engagement Specialist for Regional Operations and Community Engagement – Midlands Region, for greeting our students and sharing in this interactive experience.

Through collaborative learning, Clinton College students are building a deeper understanding of the social drivers of health and how they can be part of shaping healthier communities.
